"Accepting the pain that comes in life as a help for purification is a central practice in Yoga. Day after day, opportunities arise to practice acceptance, but instead we find ourselves caught up in resistance, anger, or depression. In the name of acceptance, seekers expend great energy struggling to reconcile
their beliefs with their own shortcomings and the disappointing realities of life. But the struggle is not fruitless; it brings us to a deeper self-knowledge and a truer understanding of life."

Members of the Yoga Life Society are actively engaged in the process of finding a home.  We know we can serve you and each other better if we have a place of our own, a Yoga home where we can offer classes, teacher trainings, continuing education programs, satsangs, dinners and other social events.

YLS is compiling vegetarian recipes to be published in a YLS Vegetarian Cookbook.  Please send in your favorite recipes along with any special notations that pertain to the success of the recipe, for instance, "I served this dish at Aunt Millie's 100th Birthday.  It was a big hit!".
 
YLS will be packaging a beautiful apron along with the cookbook.  All proceeds from the purchase of the cookbook sales will go to benefit YLS endeavors which means more exciting programs for you.
